Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College created its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 11th May 2015 as prescribed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC). Though the cell has been functioning only for a brief tenure, it has been playing the pivotal role for the college in ensuring academic and administrative upliftment by bringing in coherence among all the faculties and staff and also in maintaining comprehensive report of all activities- academic as well as socio-cultural to provide the students a fulfilling education. As concerned, a feedback system was introduced immediately since 2021 to improve overall service delivery mechanism. The Manabendra Sarma Girls’ College, through the IQAC of it eagerly proceeds to achieve the target and goals through a number of quality assurance strategies under its different cells instill awareness in various career, social and health issues of the Students. It also plays a role in introducing computerisation in academic issues, administrative fields, takes outreach programmes through College NSS unit, Bharat Scouts and Guides etc. Its activities include collaborative works through Non Government Organisations and also MoU signed with different educational institutions, NGO and Companies for career development of its students. Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has been working as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure for performance, evaluation, assessment and accreditation and up-gradation of the institutions. According to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), every higher educational Institution should establish Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. The primary responsibility of IQAC is to ensure quality enhancement and sustenance. It ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of measures taken/methods used to provide high-quality education and evaluate the degree to which each task is fulfilled. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system and work towards the realization of the goals and leading society.
